How It Works

I don’t charge for Artist Development.
If I believe in what you’re doing, we work together for as long as it takes — developing your sound, songs and identity before you come to the studio. I mostly work with artists I co-write with. I only work with a small number of artists each year. The focus is always the same: originality, depth, and something that actually lasts.

Development First

All early work happens remotely:
 • shaping songs
 • refining direction
 • developing your voice and identity
 • experimenting and evolving
This is where the real work happens, it’s a well proven strategy.

Then We Make the Record

I only charge for studio time when we record at £500 per day (ex VAT)
(including accommodation at VibeyStudios)
Usually we can work toward making – >
 • Single → ~3 days (£1,500)
 • EP → 6–10 days (£3,000–£5,000)
 • Album → 1–3 months (£10,000–£30,000)

Why This Works

Most people record too early, and always in a rush, we don’t. Better development and pre-production = hit records!
The goal is to arrive in the studio with great songs ready to record.

After the Record

When the music is ready, I help with:
 • label / publishing direction
 • timing and positioning
 • introductions and deal strategy
I also work with trusted industry partners who have helped secure early deals for artists like Coldplay, Adele, Dido, Keane and many others.
